The camera turns on as it heads down the familiar gritty stairs.
The date reads 16/04/2012. Just after High Octane.
A rat scampers past the camera man's feet.
On the floor there is a brown/grey mat with a dark blood stain in the middle, and dents from when Ballys head kept hitting the floor to bridge.
At the back of the room are some weights and a poster of Toshiaki Kawada.
The old small, squareish television in the corner has been damaged, a burn machine is dug deep in to it and glass is scattered around the surrounding area.
The camera pans round to see Rick Wilde sat next to the stairs on the mini fridge.
He has a beer in his hand and a light trickle of blood from his head.
Bally is stitching the back of Ricks head.

I suppose most of you will be wondering what happened tonight.
Why did I not throw a single punch in my match with Jefferson the Giant.
Why I didn't throw a single punch, a simple arm drag, a hammerlock, anything.
Hell, it sorta looked like I didn't try didn't it...
Well I'll let you make up your own mind on that one but fact is....I won the match that was booked

Now I know there are going to people out there who say that the card is subject to change, but I don't buy that.
I was booked in a match against Epic Size.
I trained for Epic Size.
I planned the defeat and the hospitalization of Epic Size.

And come showtime...

*Breaks in to a huge grin*

Rick Wilde came out on top!

You see Epic Size saw me training Bally for his big match....and RAN.

I'm getting quite the track record here aren't I?

I beat McHammer and he quit wrestling.
Then I face my protege for the Concept Championship, and WIN!
And then Epic Size sees me train someone else..... and runs.

He didn't see me train to face him.
He didn't face me like a man.
He just saw me and a friend indulge in some light training....and got so scared he left a brown trail out of the H.O.W arena and in to the florist or whatever job he's going in to because he JUST CAN'T MAKE IT in this business.

So I took my chance.
Someone decided it was a great move to have me face someone twice my size.
So I figured...

*Cracks open a beer*

If the crowd wants to see what I would have done to Epic Size...why not show the world exactly what would have done?

*Turns to Bally*

You have to admit the imagery was beautiful.
A giant of a man. A beast, a behemoth, a gargantuan. Tearing his opponent to shreds.

*Turns back to the camera*

Shame I didn't fight back...I think Jefferson would have liked some competition... just like me.
Jefferson is probably sick of push overs, just like me.
But unlike Jefferson... I'm making my own Frankenstein s Monster of a wrestler in Bally

*Rick Wilde claps, Bally stops stitching and exits. The camera pans back as Rick indicates the title hanging on the wall behind him, without looking*

The love I have for my belt!
MY BELT!

Is stronger than anything else in this company.
I stepped in the ring with a giant tonight.
And I'll do it again....and again...and again.
Because you will have to tear that belt from my lifeless fingers before I surrender it to anyone.
I don't care who the suits think I should face.
I made myself proud tonight.
I stood up to a Giant and did nothing.
Cowards run.
Fools would have fought him.
I did nothing.

I'm chasing all the wimps out of this company
I'm stomping out the weakness.
To paraphrase a famous film... I am the hero this company deserves. Who cares what this company needs.

That's not just the truth, that's not just awesome....that's truly WILDE
